The short version: your tables never leave your device. GridScoop extracts and converts tables entirely inside your browser and only ever connects to one place, and only if you buy Pro.
When you click the GridScoop icon, it scans the current tab (via Chrome's activeTab permission) for tables and data grids so it can list them for export. This happens only on the tab you click, only at that moment. GridScoop has no standing access to any website and reads nothing on other tabs. The capture features (“Capture full grid,” “Merge pages”) scroll or page through the same tab you invoked it on — still entirely inside your browser.
Your settings and, if you buy Pro, your license state are saved only on your device using Chrome's storage API. The tables you export become files (Excel, CSV, Markdown, JSON) that you save to your own computer, or clipboard text that you paste yourself. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Remove everything by uninstalling the extension.
That's all. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no selling of data. The free features make no network requests at all.
