GridScoop — Privacy Policy
The short version: your tables never leave your device. GridScoop extracts and converts tables entirely inside your browser and only ever connects to one place, and only if you buy Pro.
What the extension reads
When you click the GridScoop icon, it scans the current tab (via Chrome's activeTab permission) for tables and data grids so it can list them for export. This happens only on the tab you click, only at that moment. GridScoop has no standing access to any website and reads nothing on other tabs. The capture features (“Capture full grid,” “Merge pages”) scroll or page through the same tab you invoked it on — still entirely inside your browser.
What is stored (locally)
Your settings and, if you buy Pro, your license state are saved only on your device using Chrome's storage API. The tables you export become files (Excel, CSV, Markdown, JSON) that you save to your own computer, or clipboard text that you paste yourself. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Remove everything by uninstalling the extension.
The only connection GridScoop makes — optional and Pro-only
- Pro license activation. If you buy GridScoop Pro and activate a license key, the extension sends only that license key (no tables, no page content, no personal information) — along with the extension's ID and version — to our license server to confirm it is valid. It periodically re-checks the key and works offline in between.
That's all. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no selling of data. The free features make no network requests at all.
This web page, like the rest of bilingoplus.com, is measured with Google Analytics — what it collects is set out in the website privacy policy. That applies to the website only: the GridScoop extension itself contains no analytics.
Data we handle
- License key (only if you buy Pro): used solely to verify your purchase and lift the free limit. Processed by BiLingoPlus LLC; not sold or shared.
- Payments for Pro are handled by our reseller Paddle (Merchant of Record) on their own secure checkout — GridScoop never sees your card details.
