HARScope changelog
Short answer: The current version is 1.1.0, released on 18 October 2026. It added the HAR analyzer (failed, slow, heavy and redirected requests), Clean & save for sharing a HAR without its secrets, and an interface in 14 languages. HARScope still asks for no permissions and makes no network requests.
Version 1.1.0 · 18 October 2026
- New name: HARScope — HAR Viewer, Analyzer & Sanitizer (was HARScope — Offline HAR Viewer).
- HAR analyzer. The summary bar now counts failed requests (4xx, 5xx or no status), slow requests (1 second or more), heavy responses (1 MB or more) and redirects. Each count is a filter: click it to see exactly those requests.
- Redirect chains. The details of a redirected request show every hop in time order, and redirect loops are marked.
- Clean & save. HARScope shows which secrets a file contains and saves a copy, named
….cleaned.har, with their values replaced by REDACTED. You choose what to replace: cookies; authorization, token and API-key headers; tokens and keys in URLs; request bodies and WebSocket messages; response bodies; and tokens inside the bodies you keep. Names stay, and the original file is never changed. - Copy report. A short Markdown summary of the problems in a file, for a support ticket, with secret-looking URL parameters replaced.
- Search and filters. Search in URLs only, or in headers and bodies too. New domain filter with request counts.
- Sortable columns. Click a column header to sort; click again to reverse or return to the recorded order.
- Request details. Copy URL, Copy as cURL and Copy response; formatted JSON with a Raw view; image previews; a timing bar that shows where the time went.
- Keyboard. ↑ and ↓ move through requests, Enter opens one, Esc closes the details.
- A loading message while a large file is read.
- WebSocket connections and event streams no longer count as slow and no longer stretch the waterfall.
- The interface is translated into 14 languages: English, Spanish, Russian, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Japanese and Korean.
- Stricter security policy for the viewer page. Still no permissions and no network requests.
- Fixed: empty summary and filter bars showed before a file was opened.
Version 1.0.0 · 17 June 2026
- First release: an offline HAR viewer for Chrome. Open a file by dropping it on the page or with Open HAR file….
- Request table with name, status, method, type, size, time and a waterfall. Only the rows on screen are drawn, so large files stay quick.
- Summary of requests, data transferred, time span and errors.
- Filters by URL text, type, method and status code.
- Details for each request: general information, request and response headers, query string, request payload, response body and timings.
- No permissions and no network requests: the file never leaves your computer.
- Store name and description in English, Spanish and Russian; the interface itself was in English.
The same viewer also runs on the web, nothing uploaded: HAR analyzer. It uses the 1.1.0 code and is in English. For how to use each feature, see HARScope help.
Questions
Did version 1.1.0 add any permissions?
No. HARScope still asks for no Chrome permissions and makes no network requests. Version 1.1.0 also tightened the page's security policy.
Is HARScope still free?
Yes. Every feature, including the analyzer and Clean & save, is free, with no account.
Is the web analyzer the same as the extension?
It runs the same viewer code as version 1.1.0, in English, on bilingoplus.com/harscope/analyzer. The extension works without visiting the site and without an internet connection.
